Locks of Love T-Shirt

I randomly took photos of several of the locks, and this is the one I chose to paint, because of the other locks that surround it that add something so very interesting, which gives more to the piece as a whole. This piece was painted in a monochrome style using black and white, beautifully done, with contrast that is simply outstanding.

I personally viewed, touched, read and searched through many of the locks on the Pont d'Arts Bridge to find something interesting to photograph or paint, and what I found were a few locks that had these two small hearts engraved on them, so I went through and randomly took photos of a couple of these locks, and this is the one I chose to paint, because of the other locks around it that are also very interesting, which adds more to the whole piece.

All of the Love Locks have been removed from the Pont d'Arts Bridge in order to preserve the bridge from all of the weight that could have damaged its structure.

This piece was painted in a monochrome style using black and white, beautifully done, and the contrast is outstanding. The shading on the locks truly looks like metal. I did decide to highlight the lock with the two engraved hearts by outlining them in red.
